Versatile propulsion with inboard power and outboard flexibility
The Hydromaster Transom Mounted Azimuth Thruster comes with a suspension frame that is securely fixed to the vessel’s transom, providing a stable and compact installation for a wide range of vessel types.
The thruster unit itself can be tilted and swiveled upwards, making maintenance and inspection straightforward—even in confined or shallow areas.
The L-drive configuration is primarily electric-powered and has become the standard for Transom Mounted Thrusters. It is commonly used in electric pusher tugs and hybrid vessels due to its efficiency and eco-friendly operation.
The unit can be fully tilted for maintenance and is depth adjustable to cater for varying drafts and/or shallow water, offering an efficient and modular propulsion solution – especially for vessels transitioning to hybrid or full-electric power.

The Z-drive configuration combines the robust reliability of an inboard engine or horizontal electric motor with the flexibility and easy access of an outboard propulsion system.
This steady bracket comes with an automated locking system that ensures secure positioning of the thruster during operations and allows for quick release without manual intervention.

The Hydromaster Transom Mounted Azimuth Thruster is designed to serve vessels that require a robust yet versatile propulsion system, including:
Its swivel and tilt capability ensures safe and easy access for periodic inspections and maintenance, extending lifespan and operational uptime.
