Hydromaster

Reliable, efficient propulsion systems tailored to your needs

Our team specializes in designing and manufacturing 360-degree steerable propulsion systems that meet the requirements of all major classification societies. We offer a wide power range from 30 kW to 900 kW.

What sets us apart is our ability to tap on decades of experience, our willingness to think along with our clients and offer tailor made, bespoke thruster  solutions, ensuring versatility and precision for all types of vessels. Our smart, cost-effective designs and builds, are made to last. With each project we take into account the specific operating conditions and environment of the customer.

High-Speed Thrusters

Our High-Speed Thrusters combine a pulling-type propeller with an optimized and streamlined underwater body design, maximizing efficiency at high speeds. These systems are perfect for high-speed ferries and response vessels that require fast acceleration and reliable performance.

Well Mounted Azimuth Thrusters

Hydromaster Well Mounted Azimuth Thrusters are available in both L and Z-drive configurations and are powered by electric, diesel, or hydraulic systems. These thrusters deliver exceptional maneuverability and steerability for vessels operating in various environments, from inland waterways to offshore applications.

Deck Mounted Propulsion Units

Our Deck Mounted Propulsion Units are self-contained outboard systems with a prime mover, designed to be easily installed and maintained. These units are ideal for workboats, ferries, and tugs, offering reliability and efficiency in demanding marine conditions.

Transom Mounted Azimuth Thrusters

Transom Mounted Azimuth Thrusters offer a modular thruster mounted outboard to the vessel transom, making them easily accessible for repair and maintenance due its built-in tilt function. Fitted with a vertical electric motor or engine driven combining an inboard engine room with an outboard transom mounted tiltable thruster.

Retractable Thrusters

Retractable Thrusters are designed for auxiliary propulsion and station-keeping capabilities. Available with electric, diesel, or hydraulic drives, these thrusters can be retracted when not in use, providing flexibility and efficiency for various vessels, including high speed ferries, research vessels and offshore support vessels.

Tunnel Thrusters

Hydromaster Tunnel Thrusters have relatively large propeller diameters, providing increased thrust at lower input power. These thrusters are designed to enhance maneuverability in tight spaces, making them ideal for luxury yachts, inland barges, and offshore vessels.

Control System

Our modular Control Systems are designed to meet the specific needs of each propulsion system and vessel. These type-approved systems integrate with our azimuth thrusters and other propulsion components, allowing for easy monitoring and efficient management of vessel performance.

Steerable Jet

The Steerable Jet is a fully 360° steerable thruster with a horizontal propeller, where the thrust nozzle is designed to be flush with the hull for maximum efficiency. This design ensures optimal maneuverability and is ideal for vessels requiring precise control, such as workboats and offshore vessels.
